Therapeutic Programmes
Professional care for patients is our priority
A therapeutic group programmes is legally compulsory in all psychiatric hospitals in South Africa. The programmes at M-Care is carefully compiled in order that every group benefits the patient with great value but that the programme in total will have therapeutic effect.
A consultant from our therapy services team will assess you and determine which therapy programme you should undertake during your treatment at the hospital.
Your therapy programme during your stay at the hospital forms the fundamental base of your overall treatment. You will be assessed as soon as practically suitable and appropriate after your admission. An initial programme will be discussed and agreed with you. It may change during the course of your treatment, depending on your progress and needs.
Continuous participation with this form of treatment is highly recommended and groups may not be left for shopping, physiotherapy, dietician, gym or any other activities.
